Potty Time

Johnny did potty training (and quite easily I might add!) in the beginning of July but still loves to look at his potty book sometimes : )

Arizona

We took a trip to Prescott Arizona in June for Paul's cousin's wedding.  Kathy, Kate, Ken, Paul, Johnny & I stayed in a great cabin and it was so relaxing!!!  The cabin was beautiful and it worked out great so that we could all hang out together.  It had a big wrap around porch which is where we spent the majority of our time.  The porch had a hot tub and firepit so that was fun!  Johnny was the ringbearer in Joe & Heidi's wedding and he did great.  He actually sprinted down the aisle so it was pretty cute : )  We headed to Phoenix to visit Grandma Hustedt for a day at the end of the trip.

Johnny's 3rd flight!  Such a pro : )
Making his 1st S'more...which he didn't even like!

Wedding time!

His ring bearer gift was this cowboy hat that he LOVES and wore the entire reception.  He said "Howdy Partner" to every person that would listen!  Super cute : )

San Diego

Johnny got to go visit Aunt Kate & Uncle Ken at their house in San Diego in March.  It was a great trip and Johnny did awesome!  He actually told us that he was so happy and loved to be on vacation on our last day there.  So sweet!  We went to Sea World, the zoo, and the beach and just hung out and Kate & Ken's.  Johnny was a little young for Sea World but loved the zoo and beach!  The zoo was huge and the coolest one that I had ever been to.  The whole trip was a lot of fun!!

Johnny cuddled up watching a movie on the airplane

Kate made me a cake to celebrate my birthday on our first night there

Johnny Story

Email I wrote to the family on July 5.  Probably not appropriate but we are Rodeen's : )

It's official....Johnny dropped his first F bomb this weekend while repeating daddy!  Paul woke up "slightly" hung over and said this phrase and Johnny was playing w/his car and said "I'm all f*cked up!"  OMG....Hoff & Toby were there (hence Paul's hang over) and everyone was completely silent for a minute and then Hoff said "I'm so glad that I was here to witness that" and I had to duck behind our kitchen cabinets because I was laughing so hard!!!  Paul says he's now officially a Rodeen.  And just as a side note, JR didn't even notice that we were laughing so he didn't repeat it 15 times or anything!  ; )

Preschool!!!

Johnny's 1st day of preschool was today.  He goes from 8:10-10:50 on Tuesday & Thursday mornings.  He was very excited to go but a little nervous when we actually got there.  No tears for either of us so that was good!  He ended up doing great and loved it.  He told his babysitter that he is making lots of 3 year old friends just like him!  Too cute : )

Stuff....

Johnny is hilarious these days!  He's VERY into music and playing air guitar and drums.  Before he starts a song, he always says "And a 1, 2, 3, 4!"  I've been playing some CD's in the car lately and he really gets into the Rolling Stones & Janis Joplin and asks to "play it again mommy!" on certain songs.  Last weekend he asked to watch my yoga video and loved that, too!  He tries to do all of the poses and thinks it's so fun.  Here are a couple of pictures from last night when he requested to watch it.
This morning he wore a new shark shirt with little fish on it and he surprised with his "math" skills!  He said that the shark would eat the 3 little fish.  "He'll eat 1 fish first, and then there will be 2 fish, then he'll eat another fish, and there will be 1 fish left, and then he'll eat another fish, and the fish will be all gone!"  I have never done that w/him so not sure where he learned that?!?  Unless it was from 8 Little Monkeys jumping on the bed or if they are doing it at his sitter's house.  I was impressed none the less : )
Johnny got to play with Aleigha & Grayson this past weekend and had a blast!  They get along really well and always have so much fun together.
